Infobase has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level .NET Web Developer

Primary responsibilities include the development and ongoing maintenance for high availability web-based content delivery applications developed in .NET with a SQL back-end and multiple caching layers. Applications include stand-alone web services, online educational database products, streaming video platforms, eBook platforms, e-commerce websites, customer administrative applications, and media management systems. The developer will work on a variety of different projects and should be able to provide new ideas that work within our current systems. The ideal candidate is flexible, patient, forward thinking, innovative, and results oriented, with a high attention to detail. The developer must be able to work well in a team environment and be able to communicate well with non-technical people inside and outside of Infobase.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 1–2+ years’ experience in planning, developing, testing, and delivering modern .NET web applications
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework (ASP.NET MVC, Razor)
  • Proficiency in jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, Bootstrap, and CSS
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles and data structures
  • Solid understanding of relational database structure, design, and basic database integration principles
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills


  • Strong front-end CSS, jQuery, JavaScript and Bootstrap experience a big plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with JSON and APIs
  • Experience with enterprise search technologies such as Lucene and Apache Solr
  • Experience working with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, PetaPoco, and Dapper
  • Experience with Visual Studio IDE
  • Experience using subversion tools like SVN
  • UI/UX design experience
  • Experience developing mobile applications using Xamarin
  • Experience writing unit tests

Infobase seeks an enthusiastic and organized full-time assistant conference coordinator to work alongside the conference manager in our New York office. The assistant conference coordinator is responsible for assisting with logistics for participation and coordinating sales teams needs for the trade shows.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Registering for exhibit space at trade shows
  • Ordering trade show services
  • Booking accommodations for sales team
  • Assembling, staging, and shipping trade show materials
  • Providing on-site meeting assistance at national trade shows as needed
  • Handling internal sales requests
  • Researching and ordering premiums and show materials
  • Administrative tasks such as updating budgets in Excel


  • Bachelor’s Degree

Infobase is looking for highly motivated and skilled Designer to join our digital products team. The designer will work with product team to conceptualize, design, and maintain product interfaces and overall user experience for Infobase’s portfolio of web and software applications serving the education and library communities. The Designer will be responsible for design of the end-to-end user experience, including user workflows, layouts, photoshop mockups of specific screens and/or components.


  • Manage UX/UI best practices with all products
  • Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through html/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins
  • Design and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites
  • Maintain and create detailed mockups of designs that can be used by the development team to code user facing functionality
  • Create wireframes and define user flows
  • Manage and support the creation of design assets for site development
  • Collaborate with the Product and Editorial team to establish visual design systems
  • Build consensus around strategic design choices through design reviews and presentations
  • Redesign and improve all product design


  • Experience in customizing and implementing WordPress
  • Strong knowledge of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL)
  • Solid understanding of grid-based design, layout, typography, color and other design principles
  • A current portfolio demonstrating strong user interface and visual design work
  • Expertise with Photoshop, Fireworks, or similar tools
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment and take lead on some projects
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser capabilities
  • Experience with designing for touch and/or mobile interfaces
