Facts On File, the award-winning publisher of print and online reference materials for the school and library market, is pleased to announce the introduction of videos to Science Online, along with color diagrams, experiments, photographs, and essays.

Recent Enhancements to This Database Include:
- New Videos
- More than 280 new videos have been added, covering a range of scientific topics in an entertaining and accessible way. Teachers, students, and researchers will find these videos helpful in exploring the basic principles of scientific inquiry, seeing firsthand what nuclear reactions and black holes look like, viewing clips of interviews with the inventors of the first computers, and much more.
- Each video is accompanied by a detail page that includes a brief description of the material in the clip, the running time, links to related videos, and suggested searches.
- Videos are searchable and appear in the “Images, Videos & Animations” tab as well as the “All Results” tab. A new “Videos and Animations” link has been added to the home page under the “Browse Science Resources” head.
- Videos are browsable alphabetically or by using the “View by Subject” drop-down box. Alternatively, visit the “Explore Subject” pages to view videos organized by subject.
- New Images: More than 550 newly colored diagrams and more than 400 photographs and illustrations have been added. The photographs and illustrations have also been embedded into essays across a wide variety of scientific disciplines enabling users to better visualize ideas and processes.
- New Content: New essays have been added from a variety of subjects, including space and astronomy, botany, marine biology, and biotechnology. Many essays include accompanying images that can be enlarged and opened with a caption, as well as links to related articles and experiments, suggested searches, citation information, and persistent “Record URL” links.
