Director of Product Management

Description

As today’s educators experience many triumphs and challenges responding to various educational initiatives, Infobase continues to support their efforts by facilitating the connection between content, people, and the learning experiences.  Our solutions empower students to evolve personally and professionally throughout life.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Vice President of Product. We are considering remote candidates based in the United States for this position.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a team (or multiple teams) (and/or product areas)
  • Coaching other product managers, including organizing training and events for entire department
  • Owning critical cross functional communication
  • Regularly interacting with leadership and major clients, including collaborating with senior leaders to define measurable objectives and deliver priorities
  • Demonstrating a deep dedication to better using qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions, including measuring their work and the work of others and using those learnings to improve our team as a whole
  • Recommending planning, staffing, budgeting, and expense priorities and implementing changes to methods
  • Identifying market opportunities and proving strategic proposals for product direction
  • Leveraging and evolving product management tools and methods to ensure user-centric processes and practices

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can demonstrate an ability to show leadership under pressure in difficult situations
  • Is comfortable negotiating with customers and management or attempting to influence senior-level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization
  • Possesses 5+ years of product management  experience, including experience with product research and analytics, product-market fit, go-to-market strategies, agile or scrum methodologies, design principles and delivering on product requirements and launches
  • Collaborating with marketing, sales, and customer success/support on the development of product positioning, product demonstrations, training materials, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved

K–12 Business Development Executive

Description

Infobase Holdings has an immediate need for a K–12 Business Development Executive located in the Southeast. This candidate will be responsible for the management of an assigned territory and the generation of new and cross-sale business for our subscription-based products in the K–12 school district market. Our growing subscription-based product line includes streaming video collections, online databases, and other instructional digital media. This role will report to the Director of Sales. Preferred candidates will reside within Florida.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieve sales goals through direct daily communication with decision-makers and influencers, including curriculum directors/ coordinators, district media directors, librarians and distance learning coordinators
  • Prospecting and lead generation through cold calls and marketing campaigns
  • Lead qualification and activity focus on generating new business
  • Growing existing book of business by cross-selling
  • Heavy phone, networking, and email communication as you prospect new leads and follow up
  • Devise and execute a strategic territory plan for evaluating and maximizing new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge for all K–12 brands and services
  • Ability to conduct product demonstrations via onsite and Zoom
  • Daily CRM updating and reporting to accurately represent your pipeline of sales activity and opportunities along with strong data integrity commitment.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members and director
  • Attend conferences and visit accounts, 50–60% travel

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in K–12 market; (ed tech sales a plus)
  • Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across departments to accomplish customer needs
  • Strategic territory management
  • Ability to find funding sources, pivot quickly, and position IB resources to meet needs
  • Proficiency in common business software tools, including Microsoft Office and contact management tools
  • Must have a hunter’s mentality and Consultive style selling
  • Comfortable cold calling on top level decision makers
  • Proof of prior accomplishments/quota achievement, collaboration and positive attitude!

Career Center Business Development Executive

Description

The Career Center Business Development Executive (BDE) drives the Infobase Mission by increasing revenue from an existing client base while acquiring new customers within an assigned territory. The Career Center BDE identifies prospective accounts and builds, develops, and maintains relationships with decision makers to strengthen Infobase’s market position and close sales.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieve sales goals through direct daily communication with decision-makers and influencers, including Career Services Directors, Alumni Development Directors, Procurement Directors who influence or procure Infobase software and services.
  • Effectively execute all key sales activities including email campaigns, telephonic outreach, presentations, demonstrations and proposals with key influencers and decision-makers meeting standard activity metrics.
  • Target, prospect, negotiate and close net new and cross-sell deals while consistently and effectively sharing the Infobase mission, vision and strategic growth objectives.
  • Lead-generation and professional follow-up using a sales contact/pitch platform, phone, Zoom meetings and/or in-person meetings.
  • Devise and execute strategy/business plan for evaluating and maximizing opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge for all company product brands and services.
  • Consistently conduct product solution presentations and demonstrations
  • Daily CRM updating and reporting to accurately represent your pipeline of sales activity and opportunities along with strong data integrity commitment.
  • Effectively partner with your Customer Success Manager to support business continuity and renewal efforts.
  • Communicate, collaborate and work effectively with internal teams
  • Attend conferences and visit accounts on-site (up to 25% travel)

Skills and Experience:

  • A 4-year college degree
  • Proof of prior accomplishments/quota achievement, collaboration and positive attitude!
  • Highly skilled in professional written and oral communication skills
  • Proof of proficiency in consultative sales discussions, presentations and product demonstrations
  • Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in educational sales selling digital solutions with a subscription-based revenue model
  • Higher Education and/or College Career/Recruitment experience is beneficial
  • Proficiency in common business software tools, including Microsoft Office and contact management tools, CRM, Excel, Salesforce.com

Associate Editor and Writer

Description

The Associate Editor and Writer will help the Infobase team by writing and updating articles for a database widely used by high schools, colleges, libraries, and debate teams in the educational market. The product presents balanced articles on hundreds of hot topics in politics, government, business, society, and popular culture, all geared to the classroom and academic markets. This position requires the ability to research complex topics quickly and distill, synthesize, and contextualize them clearly, accurately, and objectively for readers.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing, editing, and revising articles on contemporary debates and conflicts in American government, economics, and society
  • Working in a content management system to edit, produce, and publish articles
  • Monitoring a wide variety of news sources and opinion pages for breaking stories that require coverage and updating existing articles to maintain currency
  • Following a strict schedule for development, workflow, and publication of articles
  • Compiling supplementary materials, such as court cases, timelines, primary sources, and other related content
  • Selecting photos, writing captions, and directing artist to create graphs, charts, and maps
  • Writing blogs and social media content to highlight new and timely articles
  • Reviewing and troubleshooting database for errors.

Skills and Experience:

  • A 4-year college degree
  • Background in Social Science or Journalism desired
  • Excellence in editorial, management, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of digital publication using a content management system
  • Ability to locate and present information quickly and clearly
  • Strong Communication Skills
