Films On Demand: Spotlight on Timely No Choice Series

What would America be like if Roe v. Wade were no longer the law of the land? Before Roe v. Wade—the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion—American women still had abortions. Millions of them. But they were dangerous, traumatic, and often deadly. Produced by Public Square Media and now available through Films On Demand, No Choice is a series of eight filmed portraits of women who have had abortions, along with one man who treated women in the ER for incomplete abortions prior to Roe v. Wade. Each film tells a first-person story, direct to camera, illustrated with personal photographs, memorabilia, and home movies. The storytellers come from all walks of life and represent diverse religions, ethnicities, and ages. Some had abortions before it was legal. Others are younger women who were more recently denied ready access to abortion due to geography, wait times, intimidation by protestors, financial barriers, or other reasons. The reasons for abortion in the series are as varied as the people who seek them.

The videos in the No Choice series are among the thousands of high-quality works Films On Demand offers that will entertain, educate, and enlighten viewers. Infobase is proud to carry this important content and to give Films On Demand subscribers convenient, streaming access to these films.
