Travel Ban and Immigration: Should the United States ban travelers from certain countries?
Restricting travel from countries ridden by war and extremism is a common-sense national security measure. A temporary suspension of visas to people from those countries is within the president’s power, and it is necessary to prevent terrorist attacks in the United States.
Banning travelers from certain majority-Muslim countries is unconstitutional and immoral. Unjustly targeting immigrants and refugees does nothing to improve national security, and singling out Muslims will only bolster support for extremist groups.
