De-Siloing K–12 Schools: Maximizing Partnerships and Resources to Enhance Curriculum Development: Webinar
Academic officers, curriculum specialists, educational technology coaches, and librarians in many districts exist in separate silos with little communication and collaboration between them. In this webinar, instructional designers Waneta Hebert and Karina Quilantan-Garza discuss how all of these departments can build partnerships to shift usage of underused technology and resources. About the Presenters:
Waneta Hebert is an instructional designer and lecturer with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University, a Master of Education from the University of Houston, and she is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education at Sam Houston State University. With experience on all sides of instruction—as the designer, the instructor, and the student—Waneta is an expert in course design and instructional technology in K–12 through higher education, online, face-to-face, and nearly everything in between.
Karina Quilantan-Garza is an award-winning librarian, international and keynote presenter, and instructional designer from the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Her love for educational technology has allowed her to expand her library programs beyond the classroom, and she loves finding innovative ways to keep her students and staff engaged in the learning process.
